• How do I book a tattoo?

  • What age do I need to be to get a tattoo?

    Figure 9 Studio and Mars have a blanket policy to only tattoo individuals 18 years and over, regardless of parental consent

  • How long do I need to wait for a booking?

    Mars usually books about 3 months in advance.

    All short notice cancellation spots will be advertised on her social media. These appointments are usually flash priority or first in, first served.

    Mars operates by appointment only!

  • Can I come in for a consult?

    All consults and bookings are done online/via email. If you would like to come in for a chat, there is usually someone in the studio Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm, who will be available however we can’t guarantee you will be able to speak to Mars directly and to make a booking you will still be required to send through an online enquiry form!

  • Hours?

    Mars works Monday-Friday and appointments usually start at 9am

  • Do you offer gift vouchers?

    No sorry! But you’re welcome to put payments towards existing bookings if someone you know is already booked in

  • Flash designs? Wannados?

    Flash designs are predawn tattoos advertised as flash/wannado designs. They are usually first in first served and each design will only be tattooed once, unless stated otherwise. A $100 minimum deposit claims the design as yours. These are often a set size, but this can be adjusted on request. If the design you like has been taken, let us know and Mars is usually happy to draw a similar custom design

  • Can I get a quote?

    Pricing varies depending on placement, size, detail, and how long the tattoo takes. If you’re after just a quote and not ready to make an appointment yet, go ahead and fill out the tattoo enquiry form anyway so we can get all the right info and give you a quote

  • Deposits?

    Each session requires a $150 minimum deposit. Deposits are non-refundable. Bookings are not confirmed until a deposit has been paid.

    Deposits are deducted from the total payment on the day of the booking.

  • Once booked, when will I see my tattoo design?

    Usually when you come in for your booking. This way you get the opportunity to talk directly with Mars when you come in for your appointment; which is why we gather all the info beforehand about what you’re wanting. She finds it more efficient to draw up a draft, then make small changes with you in the studio rather than having a back and forth before the day. This allows you to collaborate with her to create a design you are happy with before you start.

  • What if I need to reschedule my appointment?

    If you need to reschedule in advance we can do that for you free of charge. However if you reschedule within 5 days of your appointment you will be required to pay another deposit to rebook.

    Deposits will be held for 12 months from the original date of payment before you are required to pay another deposit to rebook.

  • What if I need to cancel my appointment?

    If you need to completely cancel your appointment please let us know as far in advance as possible. All deposits are non-refundable

  • Does Mars do cover ups or add ons to existing pieces?

    As a general rule, she doesn’t take on cover ups or add ons. In saying that, this can be taken case by case and she is always happy to have a look at the tattoo your considering covering up or adding on to and offer advice/recommendations!

  • Can I bring a friend to my appointment?

    Due to limited space and social distancing requirements we do prefer if you come to your appointment alone. If you do wish to bring a support person please let us know!

  • Thoughts on numbing cream?

    Generally we don’t recommend it however feel free to get in touch with us or pop a note on your booking form if you’d like some more info about numbing cream
